John Obi Mikel kink Touted Di Matteo

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo said he never doubted the mental fortitude John Obi Mikel. That is why he is still playing early this morning against Manchester United.

The Blues had filed an official complaint over alleged racist abuse at referee Mark Clattenburg's Nigerian midfielder. The incident happened in the Premier League game, also against Manchester United, last weekend.

But despite facing such problems, Di Matteo still put Mikel as a starter. The player was answered with a solid performance in midfield at Chelsea win 5-4 in the Capital One Cup stage early this morning.

"I talk to my players in the last few games and mentally they are in the right frame of mind to play. So I do not have a problem choosing a team I want. He (Mikel) is very focused on the game," said the Italian manager.

Chelsea will face Leeds United in the quarter-finals. And the game will certainly heat recovery following statement The Whites manager, Neil Warnock who accused intended to kill his career Clattenburg Chelsea yesterday.
